Privacy policy

This policy explains how SeptaSoft Solutions Inc. (“SeptaSoft”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with this website, www.septasoftcanada.com. We are a Canadian company based in Milton, Ontario, and we handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The short version

• This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
• It does not set cookies.
• It has no accounts and no forms that send or store data. The contact form only prepares an email in your own email app.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, as almost every website does.
• If you email us, we use your message to reply to you.

Information collected when you visit

This website is a set of static pages. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, social media plugins or cookies. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so visiting the site does not send requests to third-party services.

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Like most hosting services, AWS infrastructure records standard technical information about each request to keep the service secure and working, such as the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser’s user-agent string and the referring page. We use this information only for security, troubleshooting and running the site. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors, and we do not combine it with other information. AWS may process this information outside Canada, including in the United States.

The contact form

The form on our contact page does not send anything to us or to anyone else, and nothing you type into it is stored. When you press the button, your device opens your own email app with the message filled in. Nothing reaches us unless you choose to send that email.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this information to reply to you and to keep a record of our correspondence, for example about a project. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for marketing lists. It is held by our email service provider on our behalf, and we keep it only as long as we need it for these purposes or as required by law.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal limits. To make a request or ask a question about privacy, email us at support@septasoftcanada.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and its effective date.
